So grateful for all that I’ve manifested into my life and when I say all I mean ALL. All the exciting things like my amazing husband, living in Vermont, my friends, getting to travel for a month in Central America, leading retreats with Ryan, Suzanne and Oteil next year, having conversations with a couple of bands I’m huge fans of about a couple more retreats, waking up each morning and this sweet Juicy Couture faux fur jacket I scored at Goodwill. All the things that sucked at the time like when kids were mean to me when I was little, all the men I dated that didn’t work out, tearing my ACL, the first day of college when my shirt came undone and I flashed everyone and when I produced a retreat and launched an online program and no one signed up.
I learned so much from all of those experiences. Feeling extra grateful today.
One of the number one ways to feel good everyday is to take a look at what you have and to express gratitude for it. Somedays it’s going to be easier than other days. Sometimes my gratitude list looks like this:
- Seeing my favorite band do their thing in the sunshine
- The ability to pay for a ticket to that show
- Hugging so many friends new and old
- The moment before the lights went down
- Participating in a spontaneous disco dance party in the lot
Other days my list looks like this:
- I woke up
- The air I breathe
- The food I eat
- Warm blankets
And some days this:
- I’m still alive
They are all perfect. Feeling grateful for what you have is a practice that if you do it everyday can become a habit. Why not start today?
What are three things you are grateful for right now?

The awesome in me sees and bows to the awesome in you,
I am grateful for the RYL retreat which showed me that doors are open for me and gave me the courage to walk through them.
I am grateful for whatever lies on the other side of those doors, whatever it is!
I am grateful for dreams I have not yet realized!
