The other day I tried to fly to Florida on standby to visit my family and I got “stuck” at the airport all day. I didn’t think of it as “stuck” though. I decided to use my time wisely so I sat my sparkly butt down at the airport, busted out my computer and wrote and wrote and then wrote a little bit more of my book. I tried to get on 5 different flights that day and none of the planes had room for my sparkly ass.
The only time I stopped writing was to talk to the people who worked there. They were pretty stressed out since every flight was over-sold and they constantly had people yelling at them even though it wasn’t their fault. I went up to them and told them I have something I put on when dealing with people like that so their energy doesn’t get to you. It’s called my Imaginary Glittery Protective Armor. When I’m wearing it, no one’s energy can affect me negatively. I told them if they wanted their own amor I would gladly give them some. They said “yes” and started laughing hysterically. I pulled two Imaginary Glittery Protective Armor suits out of my bag and gave them each one.
It was amazing to see how differently people started treating them. I’m not sure if it was because their Imaginary Armor was so beautiful or it was the difference in their attitudes when they were wearing it. Sometime’s it’s the energy you put out there. Sometimes people are just stressed and and will take it out on you no matter what which is why this amor is so important.
It seemed to me that even though I wanted to drink sangrias on the beach with my family in Florida, the Universe had a different plan for me. I was supposed to write a good chunk of my book and teach the airport workers and all of you about Imaginary Glittery Protective Amor.
I’m so grateful for that experience. My situation was that I was “stuck” at the airport. I chose make the best of it and use all the extra time I had wisely.
Was there a time when you were “stuck” that you made the best of it and used your time wisely?
