Happy Tuesday rock stars!!! I love this community so much and I’d like to thank you for hopping on the bus and spending some time with us. Tune Into Your Best Self Game is coming to a close and you all totally expanded it. I like to say expanded in place of crushing it because that’s what you all did!! One player of the game said that somewhere along the way, it stopped being a game and became a way of life. Yes! That was the purpose of it. By making small changes over time make big change and those big changes become your lifestyle.
That’s what we’re all about over here at Rocking Life. If you’re interested in living a healthy lifestyle and you are totally obsessed with live music, then you will love what we have created for you over on Patreon. Check it out!! There’s some free content on there and if you become a member (aka Healthy Prankster) at the Pavilion Level at $19/month, you’ll get instant access to over 60 classes, work shops and interviews with musicians taught by our experts (aka Magical Mystery Tour Guides). It’s amazing!! Your trip is short. Make it a good one. Try it out >>> HERE.

Here’s this week’s inspirational microdose of 420. This week we’re celebrating the birthday boy, Bob Marley.
This week’s playlist is brought to you by my good friend Paddy Tubs.
If you want to deepen the experience, pair it with some Atmosphoria. This playlist was designed to go with Alchemy because when you spray it you are brought on an instant spiritual journey like this playlist will.. Atmosphoria is all natural, plant-based aromatherapy spray made with essential oils. Alchemy is a sensual and alluring natural air freshener featuring aromas of Jasmine, Tobacco, and Bergamot. . All their scents are eco-friendly! Get a bottle HERE.
Here would be my 4 song playlist. I can not say it is a DANCE Playlist but more of a sway, sing or clap along playlist. It is a little spiritual for me. I LOVE GOSPEL music. Many times like you, I cook with it. It makes me feel good. From Kirk Franklin’s JOY to Shirley Ceasar’s HOLD MY MULE! Great artists and songs in their own right but my playlist will appeal to a broader base.
From Paddy:
For my playlist, I will take you on a Journey. Gospel has inspired so many ROCK and ROLLERS and you can hear it in their own tunes, so here goes my ROCKING LIFE Spiritual Playlist.
1) “I’ll Take You There” by The Staple Singers, this song brings all to a place of harmony, a Utopia if you will if one exist? I enjoy this and many times might even open a set up with this as a professional DJ as it puts everyone in a great mood.Listen HERE
2) “Brothers and Sisters” by The Jerry Garcia Band This one is about PEACE and BRAVERY. It is probably the most religiously influenced of our 4 tunes. Telling us it will be ok when we make it to The Promised Land, it might be influenced by Moses story, the plight out of Egypt? Im not sure but it gives me STRENGTH when I need it in my own struggles of everyday living.Listen HERE.
3) “Shine A Light”, by The Rolling Stones, cover versions by Phish and Allison Crowe are amazing too! This song brings me to one of my favorite lyrics of all time. “May the Good Lord shine a light on you, Make every song you sing your favorite tune.” How could anyone disagree with that but in today’s turmoil, I am sure we would find someone who would? Listen HERE
4) “Spirit In The Sky” by Norman Greenbaum My final song on the playlist. Placed properly at the end because it talks about the singer’s death. A subject nobody ever wants to talk about unless maybe as a mortician? Norman Greenbaum brings light and life to death. He does mention Jesus a few times but I believe no matter what religion or non religion, we can all relate to death. I also believe that dancing is therapeutic and we needed a dance song in this playlist. It’s a beautiful way to think and even dance about the promise, of a place in the sky! Listen HERE
Nug #1:”Accept who you are. Unless you’re a serial killer.” Ellen DeGeneres
Hahahahahaha! I hope none of you reading this is a serial killer and since I trust that none of you are, love who you are, all the way down to your very last quirk. I mean, we love a band that jumps on trampolines, has a drummer that wears a donut pattern mumu and plays a vacuum and did an entire musical theater number with their clones.
Nug #2: Listen to the silent trees.
You aren’t learning much if you’re always talking. Like Buddha said, “Talk less: listen more.”
Pick up trash
If you see something on the ground, instead of walking past it, pick it up and throw it away. You’ll be doing your part in keeping our planet beautiful AND you’ll be racking up karma points. Woo!!!!
I hope you enjoyed your inspirational microdose of 420. See you next week <3 Or sooner if you hop on the bus to the PAVILION on Patreon. Become a Healthy Prankster HERE.
The music lover in me sees and rocks out with the music lover in you,
