I hope you are having the most amazing summer ever. I’ve been so busy seeing so much music that I haven’t been keeping up with connecting with all of you via this blog and for that I apologize. My commitment to you is that I will keep in touch more regularly. You are VERY important to me and I’m so grateful to know each and every one of you. Thank you for listening to what I have to say. I’ve been enjoying meeting so many of you in real life at all the shows and festivals this year. Your hugs mean the world to me.
The world outside of a show or music festival can feel really harsh, but it doesn’t have to. There’s a reason why we go to all the shows spending all of our money and using all of our vacation time to experience it. Music is magic! It’s taking the vibration of love into a form that we can understand. If you know what that feels like, you know, and likely you’ve made going to see music a priority. And it’s important. My feeling is that everyone should be seeking out the musicians that speak their language and then supporting them.
Right now I’m sitting in a pavilion near Woodstock, NY while Oteil Burbridge, Marco Benevento, Scott Metzger, Luther Dickenson, Johnny V and Duane Betts are all sitting on stage talking to all of the attendees of Roots Rock Revival about groove…and it’s blowing my mind. These are the people who speak my language and I want to absorb all it is that they want to teach me.
The reason we feel so good at shows is because we are getting massaged by the vibration of music (aka love). In order to feel good at home, you’ve got to find ways to bring the vibration of love into your daily life. How can you do that? Here are some ways:
- Listening to recordings of shows
- Having conversations with friends and loved ones
- Watching feel food programs on television
- Spending time in nature
- Creating art
- Dancing
- Writing
- Practicing yoga
- Meditating
- Cooking
- Eating whole foods
I believe that everything nourishes you and I personally want to nourish myself with love. It’s so amazing to see what happens when do just that.
I’d love to hear from you. How are you going to nourish yourself with love today? Leave a comment below.
