One day I embarked on a NOLA wander. I listened to my intuition and it led me to places more magical than I ever thought possible.
I had my first and last crawfish experience.
My uber driver told me about her beautiful 15 year old twin boys with cerebral palsy who play the trumpet and the sound is so beautiful it brings her to tears.
I met with Rising Appalachia’s tour manager about some really exciting collaborations together.
I bumped into Marc Brownstein and his beautiful wife at the French Market and talked about some exciting yoga stuff.
I asked a man (pictured below) to take a photo of me by the Mississippi River. We sat on this bench for over an hour laughing and talking about life when a super drunk wookie-ish man asked to take our picture. Turns out he’s a wedding photographer. Haha!!!
I love dueling pianos. I found a bar that had them thanks to my friend Lisa and sat right in front. I stayed for hours cheering loudly and singing along.
I saw a homeless man sitting on the ground with his dog. I asked him if he was hungry. He was so I bought him some food. I sat on the ground with him and asked him how he got to where he was. He started crying. He had a good job as an engineer and made a bunch of mistakes. I told him that we all make mistakes and that his don’t define him and he is totally capable of getting back on his feet. Today is a new day. I looked him in the eye and said, “I see you.” We hugged and cried.
